In this post we will see how to make USB drive (for e.g. pendrive) bootable on Ubuntu Operating System. It is a very simple procedure. You should have .iso file available with you (either in CD or in your system). You can download Ubuntu .iso file on www.ubuntu.com .
Step 2: You will get following window. It will show the usb drives connected to your system. Choose the particular usb drive which you want to make bootable.
Step 3: Choose Source disk image(.iso file) either from a CD or by browsing to your computer system. For e.g. In following window, I have taken .iso file from my system. Once you have done this, click on "Make Startup Disk".
Step 4: A procedure will get started as shown in following screenshots. It will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
Hence, you have done it.
Go throught the following:
Step 1: Search for a "Startup Disk Creator" application. Click on it.
Step 2: You will get following window. It will show the usb drives connected to your system. Choose the particular usb drive which you want to make bootable.
